today was so cold!! but there was some pretty light late this afternoon. taken from my office on the 17th floor.

tonight, we went to a super bowl "party" at woody's on 14th street. the bears lost, but we still had a good time. and i can't be too upset. if the colts had been playing anyone but the bears, i would have been rooting for them. ;)

tonight, we took penelope & zach out to dinner for helping us move. we went to this great place on st. mark's place called yakitori taisho. oishikatta! it was so yummy and a cute place, too. afterwards, we went to this great japanese sake bar, decibel. overall, it was a very nippon-esque evening!

my nemisis. our top lock. it does not like me. i spent 30 minutes trying to open this lock. and ended up sitting in the hallway with molly waiting for chris to come home. no, this lock is not my friend.

today, i took a detour on my way to work to go through grand central. i had a feeling there would be some nice light coming through those gorgeous windows. looks like i was either just a bit early or just a bit late. i'll have to try again soon.

umm, yeah. it's the end of january. and it's still somewhat light out at 5:00 when i leave work. do we really still need the holiday lights up? i mean, they are pretty and all. and when i left work and it was still dark out, it was really nice to have the extra lighting. but, now i think it's time to take them down guys. okay?

they must have heard me. two days later, some guy was up in a crane cutting the lights off of the tree!

today was the big day.

the first (whole) apple i've eaten since i got my braces off a few weeks ago. taking that first satisfying bite. breaking through the skin with my teeth and tasting the delicious apple goodness. fabulous. mmm. just typing this is making me hungry for another one!
